Why families choose a Starr home

The same standard of care in Hingham and Norwell

Owned and run by one family since 1954
Lorraine Starr opened Queen Anne in 1976 to carry on Deering Nursing Home, which the family had run in Hingham since 1954. The same family owns and operates both homes today.
In-house staff on every shift
Nurses, therapists and nursing assistants are employed by the home, not agencies, so residents see the same faces day to day and staff know them by name.
Boston and South Shore hospital partners
Both homes coordinate admissions and care plans with South Shore Hospital, Massachusetts General, Brigham and Women's and Beth Israel Deaconess, so the move from hospital to home is planned, not rushed.
Full continuum under one roof
Short-term rehab, long-term care, respite and hospice are all offered in the same home, so a change in needs does not have to mean a change of address.
